Tyla Takes the Slime Throne at the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards

Grammy®-winning, multi-platinum phenom Tyla is trading the main stage for the slime zone. The global superstar has been announced as the host of this summer’s biggest kid-powered celebration: the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2025, airing live on Saturday, June 21 at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.

Set to simulcast across Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons, Nick Jr., MTV2, and CMT, the 2025 KCAs promise all the high-energy spectacle, music, and mess fans expect—plus a few surprises. The show will also air internationally on Nickelodeon channels worldwide.

Along with Tyla’s hosting announcement, Nickelodeon dropped this year’s nominees. Making their KCA debut are names like Gracie Abrams, Zach Bryan, Jordan Chiles, Cynthia Erivo, Frankie Grande, Doechii, Keith Lee, Chappell Roan, Shaboozey, Shohei Ohtani, and Florence Pugh.

Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, and Kendrick Lamar lead the nominee board with four nods each, while Jack Black, Dwayne Johnson, and Jelly Roll trail close behind with three nominations apiece.

What to expect this year? Think: legendary skateboarding stunts, star-powered collaborations, high-energy music moments, and of course, that iconic orange blimp trophy—and more slime than ever before. Musical performances and guest appearances are still under wraps, but it’s safe to say this year’s show is bringing heat (and goo) in equal measure.
