Lil Yachty Leads AIAIAI and HIDDEN.NY’s Clear-Cased Audio Revival

By DaMarko Webster
AIAIAI and HIDDEN.NY reunite for a second collaboration that leans deeper into design nostalgia while staying firmly rooted in modern audio performance. The new drop introduces a limited-edition headphone and speaker duo, launched alongside a campaign led by Lil Yachty, whose boundary-pushing style mirrors the collaboration’s blend of retro inspiration and contemporary tech.
Following their first partnership last year, the brands continue exploring their shared fascination with translucent hardware—a visual language that defined consumer tech in the ’90s and is now reemerging as a symbol of transparency, modularity, and intentional design. This time, that aesthetic is applied to AIAIAI’s TMA-2 Move headphones and UNIT-4 speakers, both updated with semi-transparent detailing that feels equal parts archival and future-minded.
The TMA-2 Hidden Edition headphones arrive in a clean mix of white and translucent grey, accented by HIDDEN.NY’s signature green. The lower frame and earcups feature a clear finish that reveals subtle internal structures, while the upper headband and earpad cushions remain solid white for contrast. Minimal green branding keeps the look restrained. Beyond the visuals, the headphones deliver Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and more than 40 hours of battery life, positioning them as a lifestyle-ready option that doesn’t sacrifice performance for aesthetics.
The UNIT-4 Hidden Edition speakers push the translucent concept even further. Nearly the entire shell is see-through, with clear top and side panels offset by white metal front grilles punctuated with circular perforations. HIDDEN.NY’s logo appears in green on the front, echoed by green control buttons along the top panel. Designed as portable active studio monitors, the UNIT-4 speakers feature Bluetooth 5.2, an impressive 77Wh battery capable of delivering up to 20 hours of playback per speaker, and a customizable 5-band EQ accessible through a dedicated app—making them as functional for creators as they are visually striking.
With Lil Yachty fronting the campaign, the collaboration lands squarely at the intersection of music, fashion, and design culture. The AIAIAI x HIDDEN.NY drop doesn’t just revive a translucent trend—it reframes it for a generation that values both sonic precision and visual storytelling.
