The Op Games, the board game and puzzle publisher renowned for iconic licensed games like Telestrations®, Blank Slate™, and Hues and Cues™, has unveiled a new official version of the world’s most beloved family board game: MONOPOLY®: Grey’s Anatomy Edition. Licensed by Hasbro, this edition brings the magic of ABC’s longest-running primetime series to the tabletop, offering fans an exciting way to celebrate the heroic life-saving triumphs of Grey Sloan Memorial.
In MONOPOLY®: Grey’s Anatomy Edition, players will ‘dance it out’ and compete to save lives while assembling the ultimate team of surgeons. Iconic characters such as Miranda Bailey, Richard Webber, and Meredith Grey are available for players to buy, sell, and trade. As players gather the best surgical staff, they can start charging opponents a fee for stopping by for a “consultation.” The custom gameboard features beloved members of the Grey Sloan crew, both new and old, and includes six collectible tokens representing classic series moments: a Ferry boat, Clipboard, First Aid Kit Bag, Scrub Top, Stethoscope, and Scalpel.
“As a TV series that has made ABC history, we couldn’t think of a better show to bring to the tabletop after almost 20 years,” said Dane Chapin, CEO at The Op. “Grey’s Anatomy has been uniting generations for decades, with long-time viewers and new binge-watchers diving into the world of surgery. We can’t wait to give them a new way to spend time together in their favorite universe with MONOPOLY®: Grey’s Anatomy Edition.”
Designed for two to six players, ages eight and up, MONOPOLY®: Grey’s Anatomy Edition includes 28 Title (Deed) cards featuring prominent surgeons from the series, 32 Certifications (Houses), and 12 Specialties (Hotels). Community Chest and Chance cards have been renamed to DANCE IT OUT and YOU’RE MY PERSON cards, respectively. Complete with custom Grey’s Anatomy currency, the game offers the ultimate fan experience, rewarding nearly 20 years of dedication.
