South Florida PBS is set to bring a groundbreaking art and technology exhibition to the U.S. with the launch of the internationally acclaimed Da Vinci – An Immersive Art Experience, opening on November 2, 2024. After enthralling audiences in Berlin and Amsterdam, this award-winning exhibition makes its way to Florida, promising a unique blend of art, science, and cutting-edge technology.
Designed to transport visitors back to the Renaissance era, Da Vinci – An Immersive Art Experience offers a multisensory journey into the genius of Leonardo da Vinci. This isn’t your traditional art exhibit. Leveraging immersive floor-to-ceiling projections, interactive displays, and AI-powered experiences, the exhibition brings more than 50 of da Vinci’s most famous works to life, including masterpieces like The Madonna Litta, Virgin of the Rocks, The Baptism of Christ, The Vitruvian Man, and his groundbreaking flying machines.
Here’s what visitors can expect:
- Immersive Projections: Da Vinci’s iconic paintings and notebooks will be transformed into vibrant, interactive displays that fill the room.
- Educational Integration: The experience is designed to complement classroom learning, offering curriculum-aligned content in science, math, art, social studies, and language arts for students in grades 3-12.
- Multimedia Installations: Through a combination of art, science, and engineering, multimedia displays explore da Vinci’s genius, showcasing his contributions across various disciplines.
- AI-Powered Interactivity: Guests can engage with interactive exhibits that highlight how da Vinci’s innovations continue to shape today’s technological advancements.
Produced by Phoenix Immersive Ltd, and conceptualized by renowned design studio flora&faunavisions GmbH, this exhibition is a true artistic and technical marvel. Music for the experience is crafted by UK DJ SASHA, adding a contemporary soundtrack to this historical exploration, while the original script, written by Dan Cadan, gives fresh insights into da Vinci’s thought processes and his impact on the world.
“Da Vinci: An Immersive Art Experience is more than an exhibition; it’s an invitation to engage with one of the greatest minds in human history,” said Dolores Fernandez Alonso, President & CEO of South Florida PBS. “We’re thrilled to host its U.S. debut and offer our community a chance to see da Vinci’s vision in a completely new way.”
Bert Van der Ryd, Managing Director of Phoenix Immersive, added, “We’re excited to partner with South Florida PBS to introduce this extraordinary show to the U.S. market. Their vision of using immersive art to reach wider audiences while integrating it into the local community’s educational framework is as visionary as da Vinci himself.”
This U.S. debut promises to be an unforgettable fusion of creativity, technology, and education, as visitors step inside the world of one of history’s greatest innovators.
