Pure Electric and McLaren Unveil New Collaborative Collection

By DaMarko Webster

Following its inaugural collaboration last month, Pure Electric has once again partnered with McLaren to unveil a pair of special edition e-scooters. These new models are sure to catch the eye of Formula 1 enthusiasts, featuring McLaren’s signature papaya orange and a sleek, race-inspired deep black colorway.

The Pure x McLaren Special Edition scooters, based on the popular Pure Advance+ model, are equipped with a powerful motor delivering 710 watts of peak power. This ensures rapid acceleration and impressive hill-climbing capabilities. With a range of approximately 31 miles (50 kilometers) on a single charge and large 10-inch puncture-resistant tires, these scooters are designed for extended use and durability. They also boast an IP65 rating, making them fully waterproof and suitable for all weather conditions.

Riders will appreciate the front-facing riding position, consistent with the Pure Advance+ model. According to Pure Electric, this design promotes a natural, forward-facing stance with feet apart, offering enhanced stability and comfort.

Founded in 2018 by Adam Norris, Pure Electric has quickly ascended in the e-mobility market through its innovative product designs. This partnership leverages Pure Electric’s expertise with McLaren’s cutting-edge design and hybrid power knowledge. The collaboration is also a family affair, as Adam Norris is the father of Formula 1 driver Lando Norris, who races for McLaren. Both father and son have been personally involved in the development of this product. Adam Norris expressed his pride in the partnership, stating that Pure Electric is “on a mission to be the future of e-mobility,” and the collaboration embodies the pioneering engineering and design principles both brands stand for.
