Plan Like a Pro: Apple Maps Adds MICHELIN Stars, Hotel Bookings, and Golf Digest Rankings

Starting today, users in the U.S. will see a major upgrade in Apple Maps: curated insights and rankings from respected industry voices like the MICHELIN Guide, The Infatuation, and Golf Digest. Whether you’re booking a MICHELIN Key hotel, chasing a Green Star dining experience, or planning a tee time at a top-ranked golf course, Apple Maps is now your direct line to expert recommendations.
This integration brings a more curated feel to place cards in Maps, which will now display official designations, editorial descriptions, and vivid imagery sourced directly from these trusted outlets. For travelers and locals alike, that means less time doom-scrolling reviews and more time enjoying places already vetted by professionals.
What’s live now? U.S. users can search and filter for MICHELIN-starred restaurants, Bib Gourmand picks, and MICHELIN Key hotels. Global rollout is on the horizon.
And there’s more on the way. Soon, Maps will integrate The Infatuation’s editorial reviews — known for their punchy, personality-driven style — as well as Golf Digest’s rankings and evaluations. Booking functionalities are also ramping up: MICHELIN restaurant reservations and tee times via Supreme Golf will soon be accessible without leaving the app.
“These new integrations make Maps an even more useful and seamless resource for users to discover great new places, whether in their hometown or traveling somewhere new,” says David Dorn, Apple’s senior director of Internet Software and Services Product.
For the partners involved, this marks a strategic expansion of their reach. MICHELIN Guide’s international director Gwendal Poullennec says this move enhances “global access to exceptional gastronomy and hospitality experiences.” Meanwhile, Paul Needham of The Infatuation sees the integration as a natural fit: “It’s important for us to meet users where they are, and we know Apple Maps is a key part of their daily lives.”
Golf Digest’s Meredith Bausback echoes the sentiment: “This integration will soon empower golfers to discover and choose courses with the confidence that comes from decades of expert evaluation.”
The bottom line? Apple Maps isn’t just about directions anymore. With trusted voices built in, it’s poised to become your go-to for finding your next great meal, stay, or swing.
