Percy Jackson Season 2 Teaser Promises Stormy Seas, New Monsters, and Familiar Faces

By Kyra Greene

The gods have spoken—Percy Jackson and the Olympians is diving deeper into myth and mayhem. Disney+ has officially released the first teaser for Season 2, and it’s nothing short of electrifying. The new chapter of the hit adaptation will premiere Wednesday, December 10, 2025, with Percy, Annabeth, and Grover setting sail into dangerous new territory: the Sea of Monsters.

Based on Rick Riordan’s beloved second novel in the series, The Sea of Monsters, the upcoming season promises an even higher emotional and mythological stakes. In the newly released teaser, we find Percy Jackson (Walker Scobell) returning to Camp Half-Blood a year after his initial quest, only to discover that his safe haven is on the brink of collapse. With Grover (Aryan Simhadri) missing in action, Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) confronting new truths, and a Cyclops half-brother named Tyson entering the picture, Percy is once again thrust into a quest that will test his limits—and his legacy.

This season, Percy must recover the Golden Fleece to protect Camp Half-Blood from a growing threat led by the dark forces of Kronos. But the path forward is anything but smooth. The Sea of Monsters—known to mortals as the Bermuda Triangle—is a perilous stretch filled with storms, sirens, and supernatural sabotage.

Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri all return to reprise their roles as the core trio, bringing chemistry and heart to this next chapter. The teaser hints at the emotional complexity of their journey, including a memorable moment from Jason Mantzoukas’ Dionysus, who deadpans, “We all know that last year you did something cool, but honestly, I don’t even remember what it was. We’re headed into the Sea of Monsters. You sure you’re okay to do this?”

Joining the demigod crew this season are several high-profile additions: Daniel Diemer as Tyson, Percy’s well-meaning Cyclops brother; Timothy Simons as the snide and sadistic Tantalus, Camp Half-Blood’s temporary director; and a trio of comic legends—Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, and Margaret Cho—as the eerie Gray Sisters.

The teaser closes with stormy seas, mysterious ships, and shadowy foes, promising a season as cinematic as it is character-driven. For fans of the books and new viewers alike, Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 looks ready to raise the trident—and the stakes.

Mark your calendars for December 10. The Sea of Monsters is calling.
