Discussing potential homicides on a first date might not be considered typical conversation, but when it comes to Mr. & Mrs. Smith’s relationship, normalcy takes a back seat. The initial trailer for the Prime Video drama sheds light on the unconventional dynamic between John Smith, played by Donald Glover, and Jane Smith, portrayed by Maya Erskine. The two find themselves entangled in an arranged marriage, a ruse devised for them to operate as covert agents in Manhattan under the auspices of a mysterious agency promising the world.

The show’s synopsis sets the stage: “Now married, John and Jane embark on high-risk missions weekly, all while navigating the challenges of a new relationship. Their intricate cover story becomes increasingly complex as genuine emotions come into play. The ultimate question arises: What poses a greater risk, espionage or marriage?”

Mr. & Mrs. Smith serves as a reimagination of the 2005 film featuring Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
