LG Introduces TONE Free T90S: Advanced Earbuds for Superior Listening Experience
By DaMarko Webster
LG Electronics (LG) is set to launch the latest model in its TONE Free lineup, the T90S, to the global market. Designed to deliver impressive sound quality, the T90S earbuds feature enhancements such as pure graphene drivers, a more comfortable fit, and a host of features tailored for an elevated on-the-go listening experience.
The T90S earbuds utilize pure graphene for their drivers, moving away from the conventional coated graphene. This advanced material, known for its performance in semiconductors and solar cells, reduces vibrations and delivers well-balanced, precise sound with powerful bass and enhanced mid- and high-range frequencies. The lightweight nature of pure graphene ensures a cozy fit, making prolonged listening comfortable.
As the first Dolby Atmos earbuds to support Dolby Head Tracking™ across all content and devices, LG’s T90 TONE Free series provides an unmatched surround sound experience. Dolby Head Tracking technology adapts audio based on head movements, creating a dynamic sense of immersion. This feature enhances the listening experience whether enjoying music, movies, series, or video games on smartphones, tablets, or large-screen TVs.
The T90S earbuds now support Dolby Head Tracking technology up to 24-bit / 96kHz audio, allowing users to experience studio-level audio quality. They also offer the Dolby Atmos Optimizer, with three adjustable levels to cater to users’ preferences, ensuring optimized surround sound.
In partnership with Meridian Audio, LG continues to deliver superior sound quality. The earbuds feature Meridian Headphone Spatial Processing (HSP) for a clear center image, providing a stereo sound system feel. Meridian’s Perfect Balance technology ensures consistent tonal balance at any volume, delivering natural, distortion-free sound.
The T90S earbuds also prioritize hygiene with LG’s exclusive UVnano charging case, which uses ultraviolet light to eliminate 99.9% of bacteria on the ear gels within 10 minutes of charging.* The earbuds feature medical-grade, hypoallergenic ear gels that absorb dust and prevent dirt accumulation, reducing skin irritations.
Enhancing user convenience, the T90S model includes the versatile Plug & Wireless feature, unique to LG TONE Free earbuds. With USB-C to AUX and USB-C to USB-C cables included, the charging case can be used as a transmitter, enabling Bluetooth connectivity between the earbuds and non-Bluetooth devices like in-flight entertainment systems, gym treadmills, and hotel TVs.
The T90S supports Bluetooth codecs AAC and SBC for seamless connection with Apple and Android devices, and is also compatible with the aptX Adaptive codec. The LG TONE Free app allows users to sync up to five external devices, eliminating the hassle of manual reconnection when switching between devices. Additionally, the T90S supports multi-pairing, enabling simultaneous connection to two source devices.
For optimal listening and call experiences, the T90S earbuds feature LG’s Adaptive Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology, which adapts to surrounding noise levels in real time. New ergonomic ear tips create a tighter seal, enhancing ANC performance and ensuring a stable fit.
The T90S earbuds deliver crystal-clear call quality, with a built-in three-microphone system and Voice Pickup Unit (VPU) to monitor background noise, capture users’ voices, and track jaw movements. The new High Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) microphone further reduces ambient noise, while an advanced algorithm isolates speech from background noise, optimizing dialogue quality.
Designed in collaboration with South Korea’s POSTECH Ergonomic Design Technology Lab, the T90S earbuds offer a comfortable fit without compromising performance. Extensive research on the human ear has ensured the earbuds fit securely with minimal pressure, suitable for various situations such as work or intense workouts.
With the launch of the TONE Free T90S, LG continues to innovate, delivering superior sound quality, advanced features, and user comfort in its latest earbuds.
