Kansas City Chiefs Launch “Back-to-Back Greatness” Campaign to Celebrate Consecutive Super Bowl Wins

The Kansas City Chiefs kicked off a celebration of their consecutive Super Bowl victories last night with the launch of their campaign spot, “Back-to-Back Greatness,” teasing the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII Ring unveiling. Narrated by Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor and Missouri native Jon Hamm, and directed and produced by Jasper Cicero of Words + Pictures, the spot features two-time Super Bowl champions cornerback Trent McDuffie and defensive end George Karlaftis.

Drafted in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft by the Chiefs, McDuffie and Karlaftis won Super Bowl LVII as rookies following the 2022 season and repeated their success with a victory in Super Bowl LVIII after the 2023 season. This achievement places them, along with other Chiefs teammates, in an exclusive group of players who have won back-to-back Super Bowls with the same team in their first two years in the NFL.

In the campaign spot, McDuffie and Karlaftis explore a museum gallery filled with Chiefs artifacts and gold-framed paintings depicting iconic moments in Chiefs history, set against striking red walls. As they observe these paintings, viewers are transported through different eras of Chiefs football. The archival photos, videos, and audio span from the early days with Founder Lamar Hunt, Head Coach Hank Stram, and QB Len Dawson to the modern era led by Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt, Head Coach Andy Reid, and QB Patrick Mahomes. The club’s three previous Super Bowl rings (IV, LIV, LVII), all crafted by Jostens, The Official Championship Ring Manufacturer of the Kansas City Chiefs, also make an appearance, hinting at the new ring to come.

“A championship ring ceremony is one of the most unique nights in the sports world as it represents the culmination of a year’s worth of work on and off the field and marks the last time players, coaches, and staff will celebrate together before turning the page to the next season,” Chiefs President Mark Donovan said. “Winning back-to-back championships is an incredible achievement, and having the chance to commemorate the season this way is a truly special privilege. We can’t wait to celebrate as an organization and share special moments from the evening with all of Chiefs Kingdom.”
