In a spectacular announcement, Real Madrid and England’s star midfielder, Jude Bellingham, has been revealed as the cover athlete for EA Sports FC 25. Gracing both the Standard and Ultimate Editions, Bellingham’s dynamic presence is set to electrify gamers worldwide.
The Standard Edition captures Bellingham in his iconic Belligol celebration from April’s El Clásico, a moment etched in the memory of fans when he netted the game-winner at the Bernabéu. It’s a fitting tribute to his rising stardom.
For the Ultimate Edition, Bellingham is in elite company, standing alongside soccer legends David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, and Gianluigi Buffon, as well as Aitana Bonmatí, the back-to-back Ballon d’Or Féminin winner. The cover showcases the quintet amidst a backdrop of 17 of football’s most prestigious trophies, including those from the UEFA Champions League, LALIGA, and Serie A.
Reflecting on this achievement, Bellingham shared his excitement: “I played this game with my brother all the time growing up, and I’ve always thought about how incredible it would be to one day be featured on the cover. There have been so many iconic players on the cover over the years, and I am delighted to be the most recent English player to be bestowed with this honor since 2011.”
He added, “I’m also truly honored to be featured on the cover of Ultimate Edition with true legends of the game both past and present in Beckham, Bonmatí, Buffon, and Zidane.”
At just 21, Bellingham becomes the youngest player ever to be featured on an EA Sports soccer game cover. His stellar year continues with this accolade, capping off a season where he was pivotal in leading England to the UEFA EURO 2024 final.
