IN THE BLACK NETWORK (ITBN), a prominent streaming service spotlighting Black voices and culturally significant stories for diverse audiences, has unveiled its latest FAST channel collaboration. Partnering with UrbanflixTV, a premium TV and film streaming service tailored for an urban audience, ITBN is set to enrich its content library with a fresh slate of scripted and unscripted original programming, along with an extensive array of high-quality multicultural content. UrbanflixTV’s content is scheduled to go live on December 22, 2023, marking the launch of a new 24/7 FAST TV streaming channel on ITBN.
The addition of UrbanflixTV to ITBN’s repertoire signifies a deliberate step in the streaming service’s commitment to curate a diverse and culturally relevant array of programming. The collaboration aims to provide viewers with a continuous stream of content reflecting real-world experiences that resonate with Black and multicultural audiences. The 24/7 streaming channel promises a rich assortment of full-length and short-form films, scripted content, and genre-bending offerings, further enhancing ITBN’s already diverse content offerings.
Samantha Johnstone, Chief Operating Officer of IN THE BLACK NETWORK, emphasized that ITBN goes beyond being just a network, serving as a vibrant testament to the richness of Black culture and the boundless creativity it inspires. Integrating UrbanflixTV into ITBN’s catalog reaffirms the commitment to elevating and highlighting Black content and narratives. This strategic move solidifies IN THE BLACK NETWORK’s position as a premier destination for audiences seeking authentic, wide-ranging, and impactful Black content.
Herb Kimble, Founder of UrbanflixTV, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, describing UrbanflixTV and IN THE BLACK NETWORK as a perfect streaming match.
Among the notable highlights of the UrbanflixTV channel is the popular scripted TV drama “Fosters Law,” featuring Brian White, known for his roles in “Stomp The Yard” and “The Family Stone.” The drama follows a CPS worker who goes to great lengths to protect endangered children, even if it means breaking the rules and sometimes the law. Other scripted content available at launch includes TV series like “Casting the Net,” “Pump,” “Laugh tonight w/Damon Williams,” “In the Shadows,” and “The Passenger.” Additionally, films such as “Survival,” “The Broke Rose,” “Trade,” and “Right Where You Need To Be” will be part of the initial content offering. New UrbanflixTV content will be regularly added to ITBN’s FAST channel.
Starting December 22, viewers can access the 24/7 UrbanflixTV streaming channel directly on IN THE BLACK NETWORK, available for download on iOS and Android devices, Apple TV, YouTube, ROKU, LG, and Samsung media players.
