Quantasy has unveiled a groundbreaking collaboration between Howard University and True Voice, a well-known app dedicated to mindfulness and holistic well-being. Recognizing the escalating mental health challenges faced by college students, Howard University is set to provide exclusive access to the wellness app, marking a pioneering initiative in fostering a daily culture of mindfulness on campus.

Cynthia Evers, Ed.D., Vice President of Student Affairs at Howard University, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “In our ongoing efforts to support students’ overall well-being, we are excited to partner with the True Voice app as a complement to the variety of programs and activities offered to Howard University students.”

Recent findings from The U.S. Surgeon General’s Advisory on the Healing Effects of Social Connection and Community have underscored a concerning surge in loneliness and isolation among young adults. In response to these challenges, Howard University aims to empower its students to actively manage their mental wellness while providing innovative avenues for personal and academic success.

Recognizing the unique pressures faced by Gen Z college students, including the historic isolation and loss during the pandemic, Will Campbell, CEO of Quantasy, highlighted the goal of True Voice: “Our goal with True Voice is to help them make mindfulness and self-care a habit.”

True Voice will grant students access to a supportive community and a space for vulnerability, distinct from their extracurricular groups or classrooms. The platform will offer a range of resources, including mindfulness courses, live sessions with experts, tools for community organization and advocacy, and personalized daily recommendations for each member’s physical and mental well-being.

Ron Gillyard, Chief Growth Officer at Quantasy and a Howard alumnus, emphasized the alignment of True Voice’s mission with that of Howard University. He stated, “The missions of True Voice and Howard are aligned, and we have built something that will assist in Howard’s journey of finding ways to help students cope and find belonging.” This collaboration signifies a significant step toward addressing mental health challenges on college campuses and fostering a culture of well-being among students.
