Footshop x BAPE Shift Into High Gear With a High-Octane Streetwear Drop

By Jayson Echo
Footshop and BAPE have officially released their long-anticipated, high-octane collaboration—an eight-piece capsule that merges premium streetwear with the adrenaline of automotive culture. Built for those who treat fashion like a fast machine, this limited-edition drop balances performance aesthetics, luxury materials, and the bold, disruptive energy both brands are known for.
This partnership began when BAPE approached Footshop with the vision of crafting a motorsport-infused collection that felt as exclusive as a custom-tuned supercar. The centerpiece is a beige Moto jacket—structured, sharp, and branded like a racing team uniform—paired with a trio of BAPE STA sneakers offered exclusively in white, beige, and brown. Every sneaker is constructed from 100% cowhide leather, reinforcing the capsule’s premium craftsmanship.
The collection continues with two standout T-shirt variations: one featuring a Scribble Ape graphic and another with a refined embroidered logo, each available in classic black or white. A gray cotton zip-up hoodie and a black Scribble Ape cap round out the lineup, completing the capsule’s balance of street-ready essentials and motorsport-inspired flair. Footshop’s signature white lines—a visual cue for disruption, movement, and audacity—run throughout the designs, giving the pieces an aerodynamic visual identity.
The aesthetic draws clear inspiration from Japanese and European luxury car tuning cultures, echoing the meticulous customization and engineering excellence found in high-end automotive design. From sponsor-style logos to streamlined silhouettes, the capsule leans into a racing ethos that feels both global and unmistakably contemporary.
For context, BAPE—founded by Nigo in Harajuku in 1993—has long shaped the world of premium streetwear through its fusion of hip-hop, Japanese art direction, and bold graphic identity. Footshop, launched in 2012 by Peter Hajduček, has rapidly expanded into one of Europe’s premier sneaker and apparel distributors, generating €61 million in revenue in 2024. This collaboration represents the convergence of two brands that understand culture as much as craft—and know exactly how to accelerate both.
