New Balance Football has recently inked a deal with the rising Brazilian football sensation, Endrick Felipe Moreira de Sousa. This strategic move underscores New Balance’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent while seamlessly blending sporting prowess with cultural vibrancy. Despite being just 17 years old, Endrick has already left an indelible mark on the soccer world, earning a reputation as an exceptional left-footed striker.
Endrick began catching the eye of scouts at the age of 15 while playing for Palmeiras and the Brazil youth teams. In 2022, at the age of 16, he set a record at Palmeiras as the youngest goal-scorer in the club’s history. He went on to achieve another milestone by becoming the second-youngest scorer in the history of Brazilian Serie A. His exceptional skills have now earned him a spot with Roc Nation Sports International.
In his short yet impressive career, Endrick emerged as the top scorer for Palmeiras in the league, netting 11 goals and contributing to their consecutive victories in the Brazilian Serie A. This success also secured his position in the Brazilian national team for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, making him the youngest player called up in nearly three decades. His debut against Colombia marked yet another youngest-ever record.
Looking ahead to 2024, Endrick is set to take a monumental step in his career by joining Real Madrid from Brazil on his 18th birthday, in what promises to be a record-breaking transfer deal. Endrick expressed his excitement about joining New Balance, stating, “It is a great honor to join the New Balance family and partner with a brand that is aligned with the same core values that I embody both on and off the pitch.”
Andrew McGarty, Global Director of Sports Marketing for Global Football at New Balance, emphasized the rarity of witnessing a player of Endrick’s caliber at such a young age and expressed New Balance’s pride in being part of his historic journey. The partnership also aims to give back to the community in Brazil, reflecting Endrick’s values and those of the New Balance brand.
Frederico Pena of Roc Nation Sports International Brazil hailed the New Balance partnership as a historic step in Endrick’s burgeoning career. He noted the significance of aligning with a family-owned brand that champions its athletes’ journey to excellence. To commemorate Endrick’s achievements, New Balance has created a special gold boot, named the ‘Accolade‘ Tekela v4+ Low, as a tribute to his joining the Brazilian national team and accomplishments with Palmeiras.
