Black Health Matters Appoints Corynne L. Corbett as Editorial Director

Black Health Matters (BHM) is proud to announce the appointment of Corynne L. Corbett as the Editorial Director for the foremost provider of digital health and wellness solutions tailored to African American consumers and patients. BHM is dedicated to enlightening and empowering African Americans with health-related knowledge grounded in medical expertise, equipping them with the tools necessary to optimize their well-being.
Corynne L. Corbett brings over a quarter-century of communications experience to her role at BHM, with a diverse background encompassing executive editorships, strategic roles, editor-in-chief positions, and senior management across various platforms and publications. Her illustrious career includes serving as the Beauty Director of ESSENCE Communications, Executive Editor of Real Simple Magazine, Editor in Chief of Heart & Soul Magazine, and holding senior editorial and leadership roles at Mode and ELLE magazines.
Roslyn Young Daniels, the founder and president of Black Health Matters, expressed her enthusiasm for Corynne’s appointment, stating, “BHM is thrilled to have found the intellectual prowess that will foster a profound connection with the health and wellness interests of women of color. In her new role at BHM, Corynne L. Corbett will spearhead the editorial vision, steering the company into its second decade of raising awareness about chronic conditions and diseases that disproportionately affect the African American community. Her responsibilities will encompass shaping the editorial voice across all facets of the company’s online and offline presence, overseeing content creation, editorial planning, writing, and conducting insightful interviews on medical topics and advancements.

Corynne L. Corbett’s educational background includes a Master of Professional Studies in Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Merchandising and Management from Pratt Institute.
