Ami launches first sunglasses range, 75001

By Sandro Liman

The 75001 sunglasses capture AMI’s signature effortless Parisian chic with a modern yet timeless design aesthetic. The sleek, extra-flat curves paired with subtly beveled edges create a sophisticated interplay of light and shadow. These shades seamlessly complement the brand’s quintessential wardrobe essentials.

Crafted from high-quality Mazzucchelli acetate, the 75001 sunglasses are available in a curated palette of colors inspired by AMI’s ready-to-wear collection. These include classic black, shell, cream, and the label’s signature cashmere blue hue. Mazzucchelli acetate, made from cellulose acetate derived from natural cotton and wood fibers, is renowned for its durability, flexibility, and vibrant color range. Produced by the Italian company Mazzucchelli 1849, this material is prized for its aesthetic appeal and superior performance characteristics, making it ideal for eyewear frames.

The launch of the 75001 eyewear collection underscores AMI’s deep-rooted connection to its Parisian origins. Founded in 2011 by Alexandre Mattiussi, AMI, which means ‘friend’ in French, has established a unique niche by redefining pragmatic, contemporary wardrobes for men and women through a lens of “friendly luxury.” The label embodies an inimitable form of Parisian elegance, sophistication, and simplicity.
