amazon Prime Video Unveils Exclusive trailer of “Like a Dragon: Yakuza” Series

Prime Video has announced the exclusive launch of the Japanese Original series “Like a Dragon: Yakuza,” set to stream from October 24 in over 240 countries and territories. The series will be available in Japan starting October 25 (JST).

This live-action adaptation brings to life an original narrative based on SEGA’s acclaimed game franchise, “Yakuza: Like a Dragon.” Directed by the renowned Masaharu Take, the series stars Ryoma Takeuchi as the iconic Kazuma Kiryu. This new addition to the Prime membership promises to deliver compelling storytelling, seamlessly blending action, drama, and suspense.

The “Yakuza” game series, released in 2005, quickly became a favorite among mature audiences. It offers a vivid portrayal of gang life and the vibrant Kamurochō, a fictional district inspired by Tokyo’s Kabukichō. The series explores themes of loyalty, honor, and the harsh realities of life in the Japanese underworld, with Kazuma Kiryu’s journey at its core. This adaptation aims to delve deeper into the complex characters and stories that have captivated fans globally.

Set across two timelines, 1995 and 2005, “Like a Dragon: Yakuza” follows Kazuma Kiryu, a formidable Yakuza member known for his strong sense of justice and humanity. The series explores his life, relationships with childhood friends, and the consequences of their actions.
