Amazon Music’s New AI Search Is Changing the Way You Discover Music

By DaMarko Webster

Music lovers, meet your new digital crate digger. Amazon Music is introducing a beta feature that turns a basic search into a full-on journey into the sonic universe of your favorite artists—and the ones you haven’t met yet.

The new AI-powered search experience, now rolling out to select Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers in the U.S. (iOS only for now), transforms every search into something richer and way more interactive. Think: curated collections, deeper artist insights, and even AI-generated playlists that match an artist’s signature sound.

Powered by Amazon Bedrock, the feature is designed to make discovery feel natural, effortless—and actually fun. Whether you’re tapping in to learn more about an artist or hoping to stumble on something fresh, the platform now acts more like a guide than a search engine.

“This new feature is about transforming each search into a journey of musical discovery,” says Ryan Redington, GM of Amazon Music. “We’re making it easier for fans to dive deeper into the worlds of their favorite artists and find new ones they’ll love.”

So what does this look like in real time?

Search for Jelly Roll, and you won’t just get a list of songs—you’ll find his standout collabs, like his duet with Lainey Wilson or the raw, genre-hopping energy of his Amazon Music Original with T-Pain, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy.” From there, you might find yourself exploring other artists blurring the lines between country and hip-hop.

Look up Bad Bunny’s latest project, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, and you’ll be served more than just album tracks. The AI might connect you to the legends that influenced him, spotlight collabs with Cardi B or Feid, or dig up genre-defying favorites that show off his range.

And if you’re down the BLACKPINK rabbit hole? You can uncover everything from early bangers that shaped their explosive sound to solo ventures from JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and LISA—plus fun trivia, like their collab with Lady Gaga.

The feature is still in beta, meaning it’s experimental and evolving—but it’s a promising glimpse into how AI might help us reimagine the way we listen, discover, and connect with music.

And let’s be real: in a world where algorithms usually push what’s trending, this new feature feels more like a thoughtful conversation with a friend who gets your taste—and then shows you something even better.
