These cells, currently open for pre-orders, represent a significant leap forward in battery technology by combining Nanotech Energy’s electrolyte and proprietary electrodes with Soteria metallized polymer current collectors. The outcome is a 100% American-made, non-flammable lithium-ion battery pack that has proven its durability through a rigorous abuse test, withstanding the impact of a 4.5BRA bullet traveling at a speed of 2,917 feet per second.
Accessible through the Voltaplex website, these cells cater to a wide range of applications, including e-bikes, robotics, medical devices, and military equipment. Manufactured exclusively in Nanotech Energy’s state-of-the-art 50,000ft2 Chico 2 production plant in Chico, CA, these cells represent a commitment to safety and quality.
