The Beats Pill Gets a Cultural Remix with Kiko Kostadinov

By Brian k. Neal

Beats is turning up the cultural volume with its latest collaboration, partnering with London-based designer Kiko Kostadinov to give the Beats Pill a bold, heritage-rich makeover. Following last month’s release of fresh colorways, this special-edition drop arrives steeped in references to Kostadinov’s Bulgarian roots, merging contemporary tech with centuries-old artistry.

The compact, portable speaker features a custom grill patterned with ornate geometry drawn from traditional Bulgarian design motifs. A braided, multi-colored lanyard—symbolizing talismans used in historic Bulgarian ceremonies—adds both function and a layer of storytelling. Spanish rap sensation BB Trickz fronts the campaign, bringing an energetic, global edge to the launch.

Under its reimagined exterior, the Beats Pill remains a powerhouse in portable audio. With up to 24 hours of battery life, Fast Fuel charging, and USB-C compatibility, it delivers booming sound with convenience to match. The small form factor makes it an everyday essential, while its refreshed aesthetic turns it into a collectible for design-savvy listeners.

The Kiko Kostadinov x Beats Pill, finished in the sleek “Kiko Gray” colorway, drops August 15 via select global retailers.
