FRIENDS™ Finds a New Home on the Strip with “The One in Vegas” Experience

By Kyra Greene

In a dazzling blend of television nostalgia and immersive entertainment, The FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in Vegas has officially opened its doors at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The latest flagship location invites longtime fans and newcomers alike to step into the beloved world of the hit NBC sitcom—this time with a desert twist and plenty of surprises designed exclusively for the Vegas iteration.

Built on the success of its traveling and flagship exhibitions, this latest expansion brings some of FRIENDS‘ most iconic moments back to life through interactive set recreations and never-before-seen Vegas-exclusive content. From the instantly recognizable orange couch in front of the fountain to Monica and Rachel’s apartment and the unforgettable “PIVOT!” hallway scene, every detail has been lovingly reimagined for a new generation of superfans.

Co-creators Marta Kauffman and David Crane, along with longtime executive producer and director Kevin S. Bright, reflected on the deep connection between FRIENDS and Las Vegas, where several key episodes were filmed and where the cast first bonded during early promo trips. “While New York was home, Las Vegas holds a special place. Those episodes captured the spirit, spontaneity, and heart of the show,” the trio shared. “The FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in Vegas is an absolute thrill and brings it all back.”

One of the biggest highlights of the West Coast location? A Vegas-exclusive wedding chapel set straight out of Ross and Rachel’s impulsive (and hilarious) wedding night. Whether you’re reliving the chaos or staging your own “I do” moment, the chapel is a fan-favorite photo op—and thankfully, no one’s drawing on your face this time.

Props and costumes straight from the FRIENDS archives add to the magic, with everything from Joey’s gladiator costume and Phoebe’s taxi to the infamous turkey head and Ugly Naked Guy’s poking device on display. The attention to detail is designed to delight even the most die-hard fans, with plenty of moments ready to be reenacted (or regrammed).

The grand opening kicked off with a ribbon-cutting celebration, launching what promises to be a must-see attraction on the Vegas Strip. “Las Vegas was the backdrop for some of the show’s most hilarious and heartfelt moments,” said Stacy Moscatelli, CEO of Original X Productions. “Bringing those stories to life in the city where they unfolded makes this location especially meaningful.”

Tickets start at $39 and can be booked through friendstheexperience.com/vegas. Visitors can also stop by the FRIENDS™ retail store—no ticket required—which features exclusive Las Vegas merchandise, collectibles, and apparel that capture the spirit of the series with a Sin City twist.

To further celebrate the launch, MGM Grand is hosting a limited-time FRIENDS™-inspired lobby display, available to the public through August 5th—adding one more reason to say, “I’ll be there for you.”
