Capcom’s PRAGMATA Aims for the Stars in 2026 Lunar Sci-Fi Adventure

Capcom has officially re-entered orbit with its ambitious sci-fi action-adventure title PRAGMATA, now confirmed for a 2026 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Revealed during Sony’s latest PlayStation State of Play, the newly released trailer gives a striking preview of the game’s eerie lunar setting, dual protagonists, and a combat system that’s just as cerebral as it is cinematic.
Set in a desolate vision of the near future, PRAGMATA takes players to the Moon, where a routine mission veers into chaos. After an unexpected encounter aboard a seemingly abandoned lunar research station, astronaut Hugh and the mysterious android Diana are forced into a reluctant partnership. The station? Controlled by a rogue AI. The mission? Survival—and escape.
The twist? You won’t be switching between Hugh and Diana—you’ll control both characters simultaneously in a unique single-player mechanic that blends real-time action with tactical execution. It’s a bold design choice that could redefine how narrative and gameplay intertwine.
At the core of PRAGMATA’s combat is a gameplay system called Hacking, which enables players to manipulate both characters’ abilities in sync. Whether solving puzzles, sneaking past AI sentries, or executing mid-combat switch-ups, this feature promises layered depth and replayability.
Full language support spans 13 voice languages and additional subtitles in 3 more, making it a truly global release.
PRAGMATA is shaping up to be one of Capcom’s most daring original IPs in years—blending isolationist sci-fi, dual-character synergy, and high-concept worldbuilding into an experience that dares to ask: What if survival depended on syncing with something not human, but something close?
Stay tuned—more gameplay details are coming soon.
