‘Severance’ Renewed for Season 3 at Apple TV+ Following Season 2 Finale

Apple TV+ has officially greenlit a third season of Severance, the mind-bending sci-fi thriller, on the same day its Season 2 finale hit the platform.

“Making Severance has been one of the most creatively exciting experiences I’ve ever been a part of,” said executive producer and director Ben Stiller. “While I have no memory of this, I’m told making Season 3 will be equally enjoyable—though any recollection of these future events will be forever and irrevocably wiped from my memory as well.”

Series creator, writer, and executive producer Dan Erickson echoed the excitement, stating, “The idea of getting to make more Severance with the greatest cast and crew on Earth is more thrilling to me than all the world’s finger traps combined. I can’t wait to continue spreading woe, frolic, dread, and malice with these truly incredible people.”

Starring Adam Scott as Mark, the series follows employees of the enigmatic Lumon Industries, where a controversial surgical procedure called “severance” ensures their work and personal lives remain completely separate. Britt Lower co-stars as Helly, Mark’s cubicle mate, alongside John Turturro and Zach Cherry as colleagues Irving and Dylan. Patricia Arquette portrays the imposing Lumon supervisor Ms. Cobel, with Tramell Tillman as her ever-watchful enforcer, Mr. Milchick.

Severance debuted in February 2022 to widespread acclaim, earning 14 Emmy nominations for its debut season.
