Among Us VR is Getting a 3D Makeover for PC

By Brian K. Neal
The world of Among Us is evolving once again. After successfully bringing the chaotic social deduction gameplay into virtual reality, Among Us VR is now being adapted into a more traditional 3D experience for PC. Developed by Innersloth and Schell Games, the same team behind the VR version, this new iteration will allow players to experience the game’s immersive 3D environments without the need for a headset.
While the original Among Us skyrocketed in popularity with its 2D, top-down style, the VR version gave players a more intimate and intense perspective—placing them inside the game’s infamous maps. Now, this new version aims to bridge the gap, bringing the first-person or third-person experience to standard PC gamers.
Schell Games has yet to confirm an official release date, but the game is expected to launch on Steam in the near future. This shift could introduce a fresh audience to the world of deception and betrayal while giving longtime fans a new way to enjoy Among Us. Whether it will support cross-play with other versions remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—suspicions will be running high in this new dimension.
