Community Gaming Expands Esports Presence in Latin America with Moonton Partnership
By DaMarko Webster
Community Gaming (CG), a trailblazer in the esports platform space known for automating tournament payouts, has now taken another major step by partnering with Moonton, the developer of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), to support the growing esports community in Latin America. This collaboration also sees CG sponsoring the region’s Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL LATAM), marking a significant leap in its engagement within the Latin American gaming market.
CG’s move to bolster the esports scene comes through its robust grant program, a partner-supported initiative designed to equip local tournament organizers with the necessary financial and operational resources. Through the program, organizers can gain access to platform support, prizes, in-game currency, special items, and expert tournament assistance. One standout feature is the “Tournament Mode,” an exclusive setting in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang that unlocks all skins for players, allowing a fully immersive and professional esports experience.
Speaking on behalf of Moonton, Wei Xu, the regional esports operations manager, highlighted the excitement surrounding the partnership, stating, “Community Gaming is widely recognized within our Latin American community. We are thrilled about the possibilities this partnership brings to players, offering them new and enhanced experiences.”
As the MPL season draws to a close, CG is collaborating with MLBB’s professional teams to host a high-stakes flash tournament, boasting a $4,000 prize pool. This event is designed to raise awareness of CG’s comprehensive services and further solidify its position within the professional MLBB scene.
The partnership between CG and Moonton is not new. The two companies have previously collaborated on various esports initiatives, including the Dawn of Heroes Series in 2021 and 2022, and Peru’s INTERU university tournament in 2023. CG continues to host a significant number of MLBB tournaments across 12 countries monthly, making it a dominant force in Latin America’s growing esports landscape.
From a tech perspective, CG’s advanced automation and seamless payment systems are what sets the platform apart. As the esports industry continues to evolve, the scalability and reliability of platforms like CG are integral in supporting the growth of regional gaming communities, while enhancing the overall experience for players, organizers, and sponsors alike.
