CBS announced that Jensen Ackles will soon make a guest appearance alongside Justin Hartley on “Tracker.” Hartley, who stars as Colter Shaw, a skilled tracker aiding law enforcement and civilians in solving mysteries, shared the exciting news.
“I just want to hop on here real quick and extend my gratitude to everyone tuning in to the show. We’ve had a blast making it, and the response has been fantastic,” Hartley expressed on Thursday. “Now, I’ve got a bit of news for you. We’ve been teasing Russell Shaw, my character’s brother, all season—the family drama and all. Well, we’ve landed on what I believe is the perfect casting choice.”
In the background, Ackles can be heard engrossed in a video game. He’s set to portray Russell, Colter’s estranged brother, debuting on May 12 in an episode titled “Off the Books.” The episode follows Russell seeking Colter’s help in locating a former army comrade who has vanished after displaying signs of paranoia.
“This guy consistently knocks it out of the park,” Hartley adds before Ackles appears on screen. “Every single time. We both signed on for this, but he’s currently tied up with something.”
